Its operating principle:

The Full Gas Microsac is designed with a series of parallel filter seams. These ensure the uninhibited growth of mycelium from top to bottom.

Gas exchange through filter plugs.

Each filter seam consists of a double row of minuscule filter plugs. The level of gas exchange through the seams is determined by the length of each of the filter plugs.

The Microsac seams guarantee a highly efficient gas exchange process by means of depth filtration. At the same time they form a barrier against microorganisms. A comparison between surface and depth filtration is shown in the drawings alongside.
